Announcing 6th Annual, Good Friday
"Interfaith Way of the Cross for Victims of Abortion"
This Good Friday, March 30th
10 to 11 AM
Outside of Planned Parenthood
3100 Professional Drive
With Deacon Larry Randolph & Pastor Dave McCarty

On Good Friday, March 30th, pro-life friends in Washtenaw County and beyond will participate in our 6th annual "Interfaith Way of the Cross for Victims of Abortion," along with pro-lifers throughout the country holding similar prayer vigils on that day in over 100 locations, as part of the national effort organized by Pro-Life Action League out of Chicago. The Ann Arbor event will take place at Planned Parenthood, 3100 Professional Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 from 10:00  to 11:00 a.m. Deacon Larry Randolph from Christ the King Catholic Church, will again lead this event along with Pastor Dave McCarty from Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Britton. This prayerful, peaceful prayer service is appropriate for the entire family. There is no cost to attend.

On Good Friday we remember the suffering and death of Jesus Christ at Golgotha, which means 'the place of the skull. We have our own 'Golgotha' right here in Ann Arbor – the Planned Parenthood Abortion Facility, where innocent unborn children, created in the image of God, also suffer violent deaths by abortion.

Christians of all denominations have been invited to participate in this solemn, ecumenical prayer service. Prayers will be offered for all the victims of abortion—the children lost, the mothers wounded, the communities blighted—as well as for those responsible for perpetuating this injustice, from "pro-choice" elected officials to those working at abortion facilities, who never grew up dreaming about work in the abortion industry.

Meet Leah Gerten
Wife & Mother of Seven
Sidewalk Counselor at PP in A2
Abortion Survivor
Speaker at our Closing Celebration

Hello, my name is Leah Gerten and I've been married nearly 19 years and have 7 children. In 1975, a couple years after Roe v. Wade was passed, my mother was 16 and became pregnant with me. She was unmarried and a junior in high school. Just about every one of her friends had had abortions and they couldn't believe she wasn't getting one. She went with my dad to Planned Parenthood to confirm her pregnancy where they advised her to have an abortion because she was "too young" and "had had her whole life ahead of her". A very close family member begged her to have an abortion. I am so thankful she chose life and I have a passion for sidewalk counseling where I've been blessed to witness several saves.

Pics, High Praise & BLOG -  Mass, Adoration & Procession on March 3

Pictures, Comments and
Blog authored by Michelle Piccolo
Regarding the March 3rd Mass, Adoration and
Rose/Rosary Procession to PP!

Thank you, Thank you!
Father James Conlon &
Community of St Francis of Assisi
for Opening Your Hearts and Doors
to the Greater Pro-life Community!

A Very Special Thank You  to:
Father James Conlon, Pastor of St Francis of Assisi;
 Sue Wawrzaszek, Worship Coordinator;
Members of U of M Catholic Street Evangelization
and to Brigid Kowalczyk - event coordinator

Photo Contributors:  Brigid Kowalczyk, Ken LaFleur,
Steve Gendregske & Michelle Piccolo

What Participants Had to Say!
Father James: "...as we set out to process to Planned Parenthood to stand up for the unborn, prayer is what we needed first and foremost."

Comments by Professor Janet Smith:  "Last Saturday I had a fantastic experience [at] a terrific prolife prayer event. The mass was sublime. Choice of music was wonderful, organist and cantor wonderful, homily and supplementary prayers wonderful. The organization for the procession to the local Planned Parenthood was flawlessly executed."  (Professor Smith holds the Father Michael J. McGivney Chair of Life Ethics at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit.)

Comments by Michelle Piccolo: Father James said as the baptized, we bear the stamp "Property of Jesus Christ," on us at all times. We may tarnish it, but we wear it. Ain't that the truth? I can relate to that. How many times have I tarnished this "stamp?" But I still wear it, messy as it is! (Check out her blog below!)

Comments by Brigid Kowalczyk: "Its was beautiful! Father James did great, the altar servers did great, the day was great... I was pleased with the crowd and I'm sure that it will increase each time. We are growing a following for this event..."

Comments by a Post Abortive Mom: "I found myself crying throughout the entire Mass and Adoration. And I turned around in front of the island at Planned Parenthood and saw this beautiful rose garden..."

SAVE Today - Third that we know off!

SAVES Today - 3rd During Lenten Campaign!
PRAISE GOD!

SAVE on Thursday, March 15th as shared by Shann:
Paul asked me to convey a piece of good news that occurred while Paul, Linda, and I were at PP during our hour today. Paul and I were reaching out to a number of cars when suddenly a van with a father and daughter pulled out of the parking lot. I beckoned them offering help and some information and the Dad rolled down his car window, took the information, and indicated that his daughter was not going to go into PP. I walked them down the street to avoid the escorts and they were grateful to know about all of the help that was available. They are from a neighboring county and intend to call one of the centers to make an appointment to seek help and resources.
Anna (changed to protect her privacy, God will know who we are praying for) is her name and she is considering adoption.
All for God's glory!
Please pray for Anna and her pre-born baby.

SAVE of Tuesday, Feb. 13th as shared by Paul:
I wanted you to know what happened today, Tuesday, Feb. 13th at the Planned Parenthood on Professional Dr in Ann Arbor. I met Matthew today at PP. He had been praying at the PP in Ann Arbor for about 2.5 hours. After he left, a car pulled out of the PP parking lot and stopped to talk and take literature.  I found out that the woman not driving, had a pregnancy test that confirmed she was pregnant.  I congratulated her and she then said that she will be keeping the baby!  I didn't ask if she was abortion minded but to go into PP on an abortion day with a friend and come out still pregnant is a save to me!!  In any event, Matthew may have talked to the pair of women.  If not, his prayers must have been the reason.  I gave them info on the pregnancy help centers in the area and wished them well (didn't have one but I'll be carrying a gift bag with me from now on). This was a great day and I am encouraged for the blessings that our 40 DFL campaign in AA will bring. God Bless! Paul

SAVE of Wednesday, Feb. 14th as shared by Eden:
A few minutes after I got to Planned Parenthood a guy went in following his girlfriend. Neither stopped, but the girl waved back at me. My prayer buddy and I prayed for them. About ten minutes in we heard loud shouting on the other side of the island just outside the Planned Parenthood entrance. We didn't see anything, but we heard the couple angrily yelling at each other for a while. They both went back inside. We prayed for them more. A half hour later the guy came out of Planned Parenthood alone. He was on the phone screaming and swearing at the top of his lungs, kicking the air, jumping, etc. He was yelling and crying into the phone, "How come I don't have a say in this that's my seed! I'm only 18! I can't believe she's keeping it! She shouldn't get to make that choice for me too!" (Ironic how a pro-choicer wants to take away a woman's choice.) I told him I could help, but he ignored me and got into his car and cried and punched the steering wheel for a long time. He left a few minutes after my hour was up. I left then too. I'm really glad somebody gave you a heads up about this because I didn't truly realize it was a success story. I was so focused on wanting to help him? I forgot to celebrate she chose life! Eden
