Family Life Services - Special Prayer Request

View this email in your browser Hello, prayer warriors, Please intercede on behalf of Family Life Services and all who come here. We have been assailed with challenges since Teresa, our new Executive Director, began as our servant leader 2 months ago. Yesterday the water/sewer lines in our building backed up, flooding the basement and leaving all 4 bathrooms unusable during our parenting class. "Non water lines" and the air ducks are leaking water as well as our building's pluming. (The city workers say it looks like one problem is a block between our building and the city lines. The emergency plumber says we need to wait 24 hours before they can do anything. For health and safety reasons the center will be closed the rest of the week.)  However, a volunteer has already come forward and done the initial basement clean up! In the last 7 weeks we have also had: one computer infected by a virus, another computer that needed extensive work to remain connected to the internet 2 clients we needed to report to Protective Services 2 neighborhood power outages a shooting across the street during our Thursday morning Play and Learn class one of our bench ads for the center covered with red paint, financial challenges A volunteer clearing away the foliage to make FLS easier to see way unknowingly was pulling out poison ivy and had a sever reaction to it broken glass in our driveway and parking lot difficulties with technology and software staffing challenges Please lift up FLS, our staff, volunteers, and community, our neighborhood and donors as we strive to know and do God's will through this ministry.
