Our Seven Sunday Interfaith Jericho March has been described at Amazing, Empowering, Family Friendly, Spiritual, Inspired and so much more… Come celebrate the many blessings that we have received during our fall campaign!
Please join us for one or more laps this Sunday, Nov. 5, the final Sunday of our Seven Sunday Interfaith Jericho March from 2:00 to 4:00 pm which includes our Chilly Chili Closing Celebration. Please note that this Sunday, Nov. 5th will be the 7th day of our Jericho March, so as in the Bible on the seventh day, we will take 7 laps beginning with lap 1 at 8:00 am, lap 2 at 9 am and so on until the 7th and final lap begins at 2:00 pm. It's biblical! We will begin and end outside of Planned Parenthood at 3100 Professional Dr. The one mile march around the triangular block that surrounds Planned Parenthood will include singing and praying. Family friendly signs will be available. This march is appropriate for the entire family, but some participants may choose to stay at Planned Parenthood and pray during the march, so bring your lawn chairs, if you wish.  Immediately following the 2:00 pm lap of the Jericho March, at approximately 3:00 pm, join us for our Chilly Chili Closing Celebration. Our short program will include an update on Baby Eden who stole our hearts at the spring closing, by his grandma Deborah Thomas; and talks by Paul Dobrowolski with Ann Arbor Sidewalk Advocates For Life; Family Life Services update on moving to their new building, the former Planned Parenthood Resource Center in Ypsilanti; and Brigid Kowalczyk, 40 DFL Ann Arbor Team. There is plenty of parking on Professional Drive, as the surrounding businesses are closed.

Why a "Jericho March"?  In the first chapter of Joshua, God commands Joshua to cross the Jordan and take possession of the promised land, saying He would never leave or forsake the Israelites and for them to be "strong and courageous" in conquering the land. When they came to Jericho, a highly fortified city, God promised to deliver the city to the Israelites. They were commanded to march around the city once a day for 6 days without any war cries. On the 7th day they marched around the city 7 times and on the 7th lap they all shouted at the trumpet call as God had instructed, and the walls of the city collapsed. They were able to easily take the city. We have marched around Planned Parenthood once for 6 Sundays and today we walk 7 laps on the 7th Sunday. We pray for God to break down the spiritual walls in people's hearts in Planned Parenthood and for the evil of abortion to collapse. Like the Israelites we must be strong and courageous as God calls us to fight His battle against abortion.
