Many Michigan hands are needed! We have 180 days to gather signatures! The Petition Drive is a straight-forward legislative initiative by Right to Life of Michigan to keep our tax dollars and health insurance premiums from paying for abortions in Michigan. Petition Drive Training: On Wed. Aug 14, there will be training sessions for the NO Taxes For Abortion Insurance Petition Drive in the) St Francis of Assisi Parish Activity Center (PAC). Feel free to drop by anytime between 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm, as we will show the Michigan Right to Life webcast training video: http://instantteleseminar.com/?eventID=42820185 every half hour.  St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church is located at 2250 E. Stadium Blvd in Ann Arbor. The Parish Activity Center (PAC) is located on the east side of the church.

On Tuesday, August 13th from 7-9 pm, Helpers of God's Precious Infants of Michigan will have a training / continuing education meeting for sidewalk counselors and prayers at St. Lucy's in St Clair Shores. Please come and bring a friend. Questions? Email Sarah Lonardo at helpersmi@gmail.com.

Right to Life of Washtenaw County will be hosting a educational pro-life booth at the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival, on Fri., Aug. 16th thru Sun., Aug. 18th.  They will be gathering signatures for The No Taxes for Abortion Insurance petition drive. Please visit the booth, sign the petition or get more info.

ArborVitae Women’s Center “2nd Annual On Par for Life” golf outing on Monday, August 19 at Barton Hills Country Club.  All proceeds help ArborVitae continue to provide free and confidential services to women and young University of Michigan students facing unplanned pregnancies.  Services include pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasound, pregnancy options counseling, baby layettes, cribs, safe baby instruction and material resource referrals.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available.  Noon shotgun start includes lunch followed by cocktails, dinner, silent and live auction. Mini-conference on infertility: If you know someone who is suffering from infertility, or who may want to learn about NaPro Technology - a major breakthrough in women's health - please tell them about this mini-conference on Aug. 24th from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Madonna University in Livonia. Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries is an organization offering weekend retreats for women who have had abortions as well as others who have been wounded or hurt by abortion. The Rachel’s Vineyard program provides an opportunity for women to examine their experience with abortion and identify ways that the loss caused by abortion has impacted them in the past and present. Family Life Services’ 23rd Annual Walk for Life, will be held on Saturday, September 14, at Concordia University on Geddes Rd in Ann Arbor. Check in begins at 9:00 am with kick off at 9:30. Join us as an individual walker, or form a team for your church, school, business or family. Walkers who raise $100 or more in donations will earn a free Walk T-shirt.  A generous donor has made it possible for the individual bringing in the most donations this year to win an 8 inch Tablet!  Contact Mary at (734) 434-3088 if your business/group is interested in sponsoring the Walk. The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children will take place on September 14, 2013 with solemn prayer vigils at gravesites across the United States at which these children have been buried.
