On Thursday, March 21, Students for Life at the University of Michigan will host Mary Meehan, distinguished columnist for Progressive, Second Opinion, and Social Justice Review magazines, who will present "Why Progressives and Feminists Should Defend the Unborn: A Liberal Case Against Roe v. Wade." The talk will be held at 7pm in the Great Lake North Central Room of Palmer Commons, 100 Washtenaw Avenue, Ann Arbor and will be followed by a Q&A period. All are welcome to attend!

40 Days For Life Final Rally - Sunday, March 24, 2 PM - Please note time change! 

Final 40 Days for Life Rally set for Sunday, March 24 at 3 PM - Sr. Sarah Burdick, of Servants of God's Love, will be our speaker.  Come join us in some Praise and Worship, hear Sr. Sarah's message and share some of the blessings we received from our Lord this campaign.  Come to the rally and find out how we can continue to work to end abortion in our community! Students for Life of Michigan's Annual Activism & Training Weekend is a unique opportunity for pro-life students to come together for a weekend of networking, education, and fun. Students will have the opportunity to train, one on one, with local pro-life speakers and organizations that are dedicated to their success on campus. There is no other opportunity like it! Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) Coming to EMU, April 11th & 12th!
The EMU Students For Life (SFL) will be holding a volunteer training session and catered dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Wed., April 10th in Room 330 in the EMU Student Center, 900 Oakwood St, Ypsilanti. The GAP display will be up from approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday/Friday, April 11th and 12th near the Marshall Building (located on W Circle Dr, Ypsi) and King Hall.  The goal is to reach the minds & hearts of college students and the surrounding community by showing them how the human right to life is legally, systematically denied to the unborn.  It's a life-changing, awe-inspiring and powerful display! On Thursday, April 11th, the Knights of Columbus Michigan State Council will be hosting the 35th annual Respect Life Dinner to benefit the Right to Life of Michigan Educational Fund. This year our special guest speaker is David Bereit, National Director of 40 Days for Life.  David became an outspoken pro-life advocate after Planned Parenthood announced plans to build an abortion clinic in his Texas town in 1998.  The Burton Manor in Livonia will open its doors for this important event. Legislative Day is Tuesday, April 23rd at the Radisson Hotel, 111 N. Grand Ave., Lansing. With special guest speaker, Pastor Christopher Brooks, Senior Pastor from Evangel Ministries, Detroit. Pastor Brooks will inspire and energize you with his pro life message. Registration begins at 8:45am. On May 30th, 2013 – Mother and Unborn Baby Care Presents Defending Life in a Post Christian World with Guest Speaker Scott Klusendorf – CEO of Life Training Institute, at Farmington Hills Manor, located at 23666 Orchard Lake Road, Farmington Hills, MI. The cost is $25.00 per student; $50.00 per adult (This includes Hor d’oeuvre’s, dinner, beer, wine). Registration will be from 5:30 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. The program will run from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Scott Klusendorf founded the Life Training Institute to train pro-lifers to effectively get our message across, with the goal of saving lives.  Scott works with the youth – specifically Catholics and Protestants, and anyone else who wants to work to save life, to make a case for life in the public square. He focuses on going into Catholic and Protestant high schools, as well as doing assemblies, classes and presentations that communicate the moral logic of the Pro-Life view.  He teaches the students how to argue persuasively for the pro-life view using science and philosophy. On Friday, May 31st there will be a training session with Scott Klusendorf, founder of the Life Training Institute, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. ONGOING: Baby Needs Collection through Christ The King
Pro-lifers have been super generous in providing much needed items for the wonderful pregnancy help centers in our area!  Many of you have expressed a need for an ongoing collection point. Now, you can drop off baby items anytime in the collection baskets located at the Christ The King Pro-Life Information Center in the Narthex (in the church) – across from the cry room. Christ The King Catholic Church is located at 4000 Ave Maria Dr in Ann Arbor, (near Domino’s Farms).  We will collect and distribute the items on a rotating basis to the pregnancy help centers in our area.  We hope this helps those who want so much to help!! If you have a large item – please contact Brigid bak.aa47@gmail.com or Marge mlskr@aol.com for special handling.
