Together we did it! Thank you for
collecting signatures to keep our tax dollars and health insurance premiums
from paying for abortion as part of health care. More than 315,000 signatures
were submitted to the Secretary of State's office on Friday, October
4 -- with 2 months to spare.
Once the signatures are certified after Thanksgiving the bill will be presented to the state legislature.
That is why Phase 2 starts now! Prolife people need to contact their Lansing legislators and lobby them to vote in favor of the Abortion Insurance Opt-Out Act.
The vote in the state House and state Senate is expected in early December. Plan now to call, e-mail or visit your Michigan senator and representative. You may be able to connect with your lawmaker while he or she is in the district for Thanksgiving break.

2 STARTS NOW! NO Taxes for Abortion Insurance Petition Drive Update! Together we did
it! Prolife people from every county in Michigan responded to the
need to keep our tax dollars and health insurance premiums from paying for
abortion. The Board of Canvassers has completed its initial review of
the NO Taxes for Abortion Insurance petition. Early in
December, this legislation will be sent to the Michigan House and Senate for a
vote. Now is the time to contact your representatives in Lansing
and tell them to "vote YES on the Abortion Insurance Opt-Out
