Nov. 7, 2013 Great Upcoming Pro-Life Events – Washtenaw County & Beyond!

Please join us for a Pro-Life rosary with the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will be gathering at Planned Parenthood, 3100 Professional Drive, on Friday, November 8th at 3:00pm. All are invited to attend Mass at 5:30pm at Christ the King Church, 4000 Ave Maria Drive in Ann Arbor. Mass will be followed by a healing service before the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On November 8th, 2013 Mother and Unborn Baby Care will be having its Annual Monte Carlo Night. It will be held at Farmington Hills Manor, located at 23666 Orchard Lake Road, Farmington Hills, MI. 48336. The evening will start at 6:30 P.M. and conclude by 10:00 P.M. The cost will be $60.00 P/P. This will include Hors d’oeuvres, Buffet Dinner and Cocktails, Black Jack, Fabulous Prizes. There will also be a Silent and Live Auction. Please come and support the cause of LIFE! Students for Life at the UM to host Feminist for Life! Please join us at 1200 Chemistry Building, 930 N University Ave, Ann Arbor, on Monday, November 18th at 7:00 pm! Students for Life at the University of Michigan will be hosting Ms. Sally Winn, the Vice-President of Feminist for Life, a pro-life feminist group dedicated to "systematically eliminating the root causes that drive women to abortion-primarily lack of practical resources and support-through holistic, woman-centered solutions." Ms. Winn will speak about her experience as a pro-choice college student facing obstacles as a pregnant and parenting student. Ms. Winn co-founded Democrats for Life of America, and served as the Director of Operations for a therapeutic group maternity home serving pregnant and parenting teens in the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, she carried on the legacy of our feminist foremothers as Executive Director of the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum in Adams, Massachusetts. This event is open to the public. Save the Date: On February 15th, 2014, the Respect Life Committee of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Ann Arbor is hosting a conference "Christian Response to a Sexualized Culture". Featured speakers are: Dan Mattson and Peter Herbeck on the subject of "Christians Living With Same Sex Attraction", Dr. Peter Kleponis on the subject of "Pornography, Restoring Integrity", Dr. Janet Smith on the subject of "Why Premarital Sex is Stupid". This conference will help all attendees formulate clear talking points when speaking with others on these topics. Those who may be struggling with these issues may seek and find help and healing. This conference is still in the planning stages, details will be made available after Christmas. If you would like to volunteer to help with this conference, we need lots of help.
